Key requirements of the role are building and maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders, and maintaining a high degree of independence and objectivity, whilst delivering an extremely accurate, robust and flexible service that is responsive to evolving business requirements.
Key accountabilities will include:
• Holding reviews with business and finance teams
• Identification and resolution as necessary of significant charging issues
• Timely completion and distribution of all relevant reporting.
• Control the preparation and submission of annual budget charges in accordance with Group transfer charging instructions and deadlines, including:
• Managing the calculation of revised standard unit costs from available unit costing data
• Providing analysis to explain key movements in unit rates
• Preparing standard cost charges using agreed budgeted business volumes
• Deliver a quality service to the Group and their customers by providing clear, timely and accurate responses to queries and challenges raised regarding standard cost charges. Proactively maintain the Query Log and act as first point of contact within the team.
Who we're looking for
• Qualified accountant
• Good undergraduate degree or similar academic qualification
• Experience of working in large organisation
• Excellent data manipulation skills (must be very hands on with high proficiency in use of MS Office applications, particularly Excel)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organised with very thorough and disciplined approach; working to tight and challenging deadlines
• Strong analytical ability and judgement
• Excellent customer service ethic and communication skills
