Business Controls Accountant

This role is to lead the internal controls of the business processes, ensuring compliance with the US Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
Responsibilities will include:
• Communication of SOX requirements
• Training process/control owners
• Monitoring the quality of procedural and evidential documentation
• Monitoring process changes and remediation of issue and control environment management reporting.
• The role will also prepare the organisation for internal and external audits as they arise and lead the effort to change processes in support of the introduction of new products and services.
• This position will require some travel across the UK and infrequent worldwide travel

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA or ACCA)
This post is looking for someone with a proven track record of leadership, initiative, teamwork and effective communication skills. It will require someone to be able to join this department and make an instant impact and who can drive change through the department. You will have a real opportunity to influence and make positive changes throughout the business.

Excellent working knowledge of SOX is a necessary requirement for this particular role.
