The role is to support an expanding unit dealing principally with professional partnerships, small to medium companies, including a number of newly incorporated businesses. The nature of the clients lends itself to a varied role including ad hoc special work e.g. due diligence, business reports, goodwill valuations etc. The role offers the potential for significant development for strong performers.
Reporting to Senior Managers, the Business Services Manager's key responsibilities will be:
• Preparation of financial forecasts and management accounts, as well as preparing/reviewing annual accounts, tax computations and returns.
• Supervising and coaching members of staff to help them realise their full potential.
• To manage a mixed portfolio of clients (see above for details).
• Build and maintain good relationships with clients as well as liaising with clients on any issues that arise.
• Identify problem areas suggesting solutions/seeking advice for solutions.
• Liaising closely with team members and two Partners.
• To do ad hoc special assignments.
Who we're looking for
• ACA/ACCA qualified
• Sage Literate (desirable)
• Commercial understanding and business acumen.
• Proven track record of Client Management
• Committed to providing an outstanding level of service.
• Well developed supervision skills e.g. coaching, motivation and organisation.
• Professional partnership (desirable) and general corporate experience.
• Understanding of tax
• Accurate, methodical and a keen eye for detail is essential.
• Proven interpersonal skills, good team working skills and communication skills.
• IT literacy with sound working knowledge of Excel and Word.
