A very varied role with a mix of Research and Support, it will require someone who is proactive, receptive and effective.

Who we're looking for
This international bank is looking for a Research Assistant to support 4 sectors, Utilities, Oils, Food Producers and Food Retail. 65% of your time would be support and 35% research. It can be a pressurised environment so need to be able to deal with that. Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as knowledge of DataStream, Reuters, Bloomberg or Thomson.
Duties will include:
• Booking client meeting
• Global travel including visa and foreign currency
• Minute taking
• Diary management
• Preparing analysts marketing itineraries
• Using GRS template, responsible for formatting Research notes, tables and charts to house style
• Extensive Web research, referring to company websites and company intranet sites
• Collation of figures from Bloomberg/DataStream/Reuters/Bridge
• Prepare for maintenance products: Preceding day of results, produce current & historic shareholder lists, brokers' consensus estimates, copy of current model and latest trading statement
• Produce e-mail for big cap and small cap Market makers advising them of company results/industry events/expectations/comments for forthcoming week.
• Extract and distribute trade data from CMIS to team
The above are only some of the tasks. The right applicant will be professional, articulate and numerate. Ability to work flexible hours an advantage as early starts are necessary.
