My Client is looking for a Estimator- Commercial within the Construction industry to be based in Slough. As a Estimator you will be overseeing projects, liaising with the teams on site, monitoring quality and progress, ordering materials and ensuring good relationships with our clients are maintained. The successful Estimator will have to prepare and price enquiries in a timely and accurate manager. You will have good knowledge of the Refurbishment and Fit out Market and have worked on projects up to £5million across a variety of sectors.
Who we're looking for
The successful Estimator will be confident in the following:
• To receive enquiries allocated to them by either the Estimating Manager or the Divisional Director.
• Take off quantities where necessary from drawings.
• Scan in Bills of quantities where available.
• Send out enquiries for materials and sub-contract items.
• Receive and evaluate prices for materials and sub-contractors.
• Build up the price using either the estimating system or an Excel spread sheet
• Liaise with sales to ensure that any tender presentation is requested in adequate time.
• Calculate any preliminary costs using the Excel prelim spreadsheet.
• Present the price to the either the Estimating Manager or Divisional Director for adjudication.
• Finalise any changes made and submit the price.
• Follow through the tender to either an order or a lost job.
• Such other duties as may be required from time to time.
