Due to company success and market growth a fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Automated Control Systems business (ACS) of Honeywell. The role itself sits with the Life Safety Business Unit of Honeywell ACS. As the successful candidate you will be tasked with leading a Strategic Sourcing organization for both the Poole and Portsmouth Sites within the Life Safety Business Unit. Reporting to the Sourcing Leader for Europe, the position is responsible for strategic sourcing for two ACS - Life Safety sites. The role includes being the Supply partner for the business team (s) to include process definition, deployment, results and improvement, strategy development and implementation, oversight of the local implementation of purchasing practices in the region, and delivery to an annual operating plan for material deflation and indirect savings.

Key Responsibilities include:

• To develop an overall sourcing strategy that supports the goals of the business units.
• Design and deploy processes that are consistent with the identified strategy through teaming with the other regional and / or site Strategic Sourcing Leaders.
• Effectively consolidate direct and indirect suppliers with identified strategic partners.
• Working with other strategic sourcing leaders, select and manage required suppliers who have the capacity and capability to meet the material and subcontract needs of the business.
• Drive sourcing strategy common processes.

Who we're looking for
My client is looking for a proven Purchasing candidate who has a track record in managing people through a multi site environment. You will have extensive knowledge in purchasing direct materials, preferably electronics, but will have also had exposure to indirect procurement or have an excellent working knowledge of such spend area.

Key Competencies:

• Must have a recognised Graduate degree.
•Extensive exposure in Operations and/or Supply Management leadership.
• CIPS, CPIM, CPM, and/or equivalent certification desired.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification desired.
• Leadership - strong managerial skills to work across all functions and levels of an organization; ability to lead change; effectively establishes high performing teams and role models high performance standards.
• Execution - persistent drive for results utilizing sound project management, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Strategic Thinking - ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives.
• Have worked or be working for a FTSE 50 business.
