Clarks are going live with a transactional website early next year. We are looking to recruit an E-Commerce Merchandiser to merchandise the online channel delivering a range appropriate to the channel and effectively manage the sales and stock plans for the website business. Reporting into the E Commerce Merchandise Controller, your key accountabilities will be:
Full accountability over the largest product category
Supporting the Ecommerce Merchandise Controller in the implementation and delivery of this exciting new venture
Manage weekly sales trends, identifying online opportunities and taking appropriate action with the relevant departments to ensure recommendations are actioned.
Plan and forecast sales volumes on your key category
Select product for the web, working with the Range Managers to deliver an appropriate and timely offer.
Manage stock levels to ensure accuracy and potentialise internet and product performance
Identify promotional opportunities to trade the category
Manage the E commerce merchandise team in the Controller's absence.
Communicate on a weekly basis to the brand team with recommendation on improving the category performance
Manage the target stocks and build range assortment plans for the website
Ensure full management of web analytics to maximise the web trading result.
Manage the channel budgets including sales and margin

Who we're looking for
You will be an existing online merchandiser with a proven track record of developing merchandising principles in an e commerce setting. You will need to be a strong communicator with the ability to influence and cooperate with cross functional teams. You will have a positive approach and the ability to inspire those around you. This is a high profile project and you will thrive on this level of exposure. As a result, this offers an excellent opportunity to make an impact and is ideal for somebody wishing to progress their career quickly within a blue chip successful business.
