Head of Internal Audit

Reporting to the Board and Audit Committee, this role will involve extensive global travel to the operational companies within the Group. The role is outlined below:

• Manage the internal Audit function including operational audit and establish its working practices and timetable

• Work with senior managers in their area to ensure compliance across the Group

• Maintain risk register and keep the Board constantly appraised of potential areas for review

• Provide assistance to the business to maximise business efficiency and maintain product margin

• Engage external advisors on ad hoc projects

You will be expected to provide commercial insight into the various business issues across the Group and create opportunities to maximise value. We are looking for people who are prepared to operate outside their comfort zone. Success will equally be determined by your ability to encourage change and influence management teams outside of your area of operation. About our client
Cape Plc is an AIM listed business with revenues in excess of £400 million, employing over 12,000 people across 23 locations worldwide. The Group, through its wholly owned subsidiaries specialises in the provision of essential services to the energy sector and manufactures products for major industries.

The Group has embarked on an aggressive expansion plan, both organically and through selective acquisition to increase its turnover to £1 billion in 3-5 years, and to achieve a full listing on the London Stock Exchange. These acquisitions will consolidate and improve the footprint of existing market penetration and will add complementary products and services to the Group's existing offering. Geographic expansion will be centred in its operations in the UK, Gulf/Middle East, Far East/Pacific Rim and the former CIS/Russia.

Part of this process involves relocating the current Headquarters to Stockley Park and this role forms an important element of the company's new Group PLC function. The role will require the individual to be aware of the UK reporting framework and have an acute understanding of the operational issues across its worldwide operations.

£90,000 - 120,000 plus bonus and benefits
