Criminal Court Solicitor

You will provide a high quality criminal legal defence service. You will be responsible to conduct a programme of checks on the accuracy and consistency of decisions taken by staff in civil/ criminal applications and report the results of this work to the Executive Team for use in monitoring the quality and standard of work and validating part of the Board's key performance indicators.

Who we're looking for
Knowledge of the civil and/or criminal justice system is essential and you must have a current full practicing certificate. An in depth working knowledge of legal aid legislation would be advantageous as well as effective written and oral communication skills. As you will be required to travel frequently to a number of courts, you must have a full driving licence.
