Reporting to the General Manager, the HR Director will lead the HR function for this site of approximately 400 employees. Working as part of the senior leadership team he/she will be pivotal in the growth plans for the company. Leading a team of 5, he/she will be a change agent, driving improvement in capability of employees at all levels, taking a lead in employee engagement. The role will both shape and drive the HR Strategy of the site and also link into the wider HR agenda of the parent company.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will:
• be an experienced and pragmatic HR Director
• have a background in Organisational Development & Training
• have a proven track record in driving cultural change
• have taken a lead in the management of change at a senior level
• have a strong understanding of current UK employment legislation
• be comfortable both challenging and supporting a strong operational client group
• have a 'can-do' positive attitude
• have evidence of excelling in a unionised environment
• be CIPD qualified and of Graduate calibre
