Principal Engineers

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidates will carry out a vital role as part of a dedicated project team, challenged with the task of delivering robust and cost effective power systems and installations.

These opportunities exist across both the Defence Power and the Transit Power Sections of the Engineering Department


You will be responsible for a wide range of engineering activities covering all stages of a project from bid to delivery. The role will challenge your experience of designing power systems to support customer requirements. Working closely with other team members and sub contractors, you will plan and carry out your activities to develop technical solutions, which successfully meet with the overall objectives of your project.

Who we're looking for
• A motivated self- starter, capable of acting as a technical lead on engineering projects, leading and motivating others.
• Ability to demonstrate attention to detail with strong analytical skills in order to provide solution.
• You will have a relevant degree with proven experience in an electrical engineering environment and relevant industry experience working with relevant technologies.
• Demonstrable an understanding of engineering best practice in a cost competitive environment working to deadlines.
• Competency in computer based engineering tools is essential.
