Compliance Manager/ Senior Manager

You will be coming on board as part of a market leading Financial Services regulatory team with a successful track record in providing consultancy advice to clients across a broad spectrum of the financial services industry including investment banks, retail banks, mortgage lenders, brokers and dealers, exchanges, regulators and other financial intermediaries. Your role will include:
• Developing and winning new business through marketing and sales activities and continuous client contact programmes.
• Leading projects and running work streams on large engagements - working as part of a project team on client sites and day-to-day liaison with clients.
• Leading technical input by becoming the 'subject matter expert' to a number of projects relating to regulatory and compliance services for clients.
• Technical research, in responding to consultative papers from relevant regulatory bodies, providing input to the debate on development and application of policy.
• Taking responsibility for the preparation of reports and making oral presentations of findings and recommendations to client management team(s).
• Identifying and documenting key systems and controls for demonstrating compliance with applicable FSA regulations.
• People development, mentoring and coaching, including management of client facing teams.
Who we're looking for
You will possess the following skill set:
• Proven compliance background in investment banking, corporate banking or retail banking and/or demonstrated background with the FSA or equivalent overseas regulator .
• Technically proficient in the FSA rules on conduct of business, market conduct, approved persons, training & competence or FSA prudential requirements for either banks or investment businesses and some knowledge of latest developments e.g. Basel II and consolidated supervision.
• General understanding of compliance structures and operations, and industry best practice in compliance.
