The role of the consultant is broadly to:
• Identify, develop and manage client business/relationships in a competitive environment. This can be with businesses of all sizes from global multinationals down to rapidly growing SME.
• Negotiate mutually beneficial terms for each campaign or a broader Preferred Supplier Agreement.
• Assess and respond to the needs of each particular client or assignment and advise on suitable methods to ensure timely delivery.
• Significant networking to attract new candidates.
• Maintaining the candidate database.
• Offer consultative CV and interview advice to candidates.
• Source suitable candidates (either from the database or specific advertising campaign) and brief them on the opportunities offered by the client.
• Manage the recruitment process through interview to offer stage and beyond.
This will involve:
• Promoting the services of Michael Page International and yourself to clients, initially by telephone and then by way of a formal meeting or group presentation
• Interviewing candidates, either on a general basis, with a specific assignment in mind or from an advertised selection assignment.
• Presenting suitable candidates to clients by way of detailed CV's or assessments.
• Ensuring peripheral arrangements such as interview times, dates, job descriptions etc are in place and communicated to all relevant parties.
• Forging long term relationships resulting in repeat business and client/candidate loyalty.
• Providing a professional and consultative service to both clients and candidates based on your market and commercial awareness.
• Working as an integral part of a team focusing on the broader day to day issues of business development, effective communication, systems and procedures, training and contributing to the financial success of the team.
• Identifying other potential recruitment consultants to join the business.
• Making maximum use of your time to achieve your individual and business potential through activity, energy, persistence, drive and motivation.
