Our client is looking for a solicitor to work in a Company Commercial Department, either full-time or at least 2.5 days per week +.
You will be required to handle:-
-Sales and purchases of private company shares, business assets and unincorporated businesses
-Setting up, managing and restructuring companies and partnerships including joint venture companies, shareholders' agreements and partnership agreements
-Preparing/advising on business terms and conditions of trading
-Drafting contracts for customers, suppliers, agents, distributors, consultants, franchises and tendering projects
-Preparing/advising on IT development, licensing, maintenance and escrow agreements
-Voluntary and involuntary insolvency advice
-Advising on intellectual property rights, licences and protections (such as copyright, trade marks, patents etc)
The applicant will be expected to be involved in marketing and developing the department and building on their capability to attract their own business.
Who we're looking for
Our clientrequires a solicitorwith goodquality experience of company and commercial work within a busy well established team.
The candidate needs to be sufficiently proficient and confident that they can handle all day-to-day aspects of running client files.
In addition our client would prefer a candidate with:
• a flexible and willing approach.
• good academic qualifications together with previous experience of working in a medium sized practice.
• A knowledge of, or links with, the Berkshire and Oxfordshire area.

Our client is ais a growing practice, consisting of 9 partners. The firm is well known in the Berkshire area for providing quality legal advice to both commercial and private clients throughout the Thames Valley.
Established over 175 years ago, the firm currently has 3 offices. It is 30 minutes from Oxford and 20 minutes from Reading.
