About our client
ESA McIntosh have been around for a long time, over 100 years in fact. In that time they have developed their skills and experience, so that today they can offer the best service possible.
They can trace their roots back to the 1860s, when two separate companies were formed. One company specialised in high quality furniture for homes, hotels and cruise liners; the other provided supplies for schools. In 1987, these two firms joined forces to become ESA McIntosh. Such a strong track record in creating quality products and supplying solutions for educational environments, combined with determination to be the best, meant that this was the start of a major success story.
ESA McIntosh were acquired by Havelock Europa as a result of a 10-year strategic acquisition and organic growth programme. Havelock Europa has established a strong and diversified position spanning educational interiors and supplies, retail, banking, hotel, healthcare interiors and point of sale print and display. In fact, the group now consists of eight businesses operating in three sectors across six locations in the UK.
The key strategy has been to focus on UK growth markets which are supported by committed government infrastructure spend.
