Theposition is site based working on projects varying from £25 to £40 million reporting to a Construction Manager. The role will involve planning and coordinating resources, supporting the tender, monitoring and directing site management and technical staff and they will also agree and record valuations/scope with clients and ensure sub-contractors meet their contractual/legal obligations. They will manage employees on the project, look after Health and Safety issues and manage the financial aspects of the project.

Who we're looking for
The candidate will ideally have the following skills :
•Familiar with commercial projects including colleges, office space, residential, health and retail units and they will need to take responsibility for design, commercial, planning and programming and forming close relationships with the client.
• The Project Manager will need to demonstrate an ability to run projects between £25 million and £40 million and managing a team consisting of Senior Site Managers, QS's, Site Engineers and Site Safety Staff.
• Construction related HNC/Degree or equivalent practical experience. MCIOB, CSCS Card - Project Manager or Construction Contracts Manager.
• Strong Organisational and Planning skills as well as communication, I.T Skills, Negotiation, Leadership, Coaching, Mentoring, Financial and Commercial awareness.

About our client
The client is one of the largest family owned construction companies in the U.K with an annual turnover of £600 million. They are working on a number of projects in the North West on mainly commercial projects. The Project Manager will report to the Construction Manager who will visit the site around once a month.

What's on offer
The salary on offer is dependant on the calibre of the client but will be between £45 and £55k and also will come with other benefits including health care and company car.
