Finance Director

The principal purpose of the role will be to operate as a true business partner with the MD's and the other senior executives in the Group. Taking overall responsibility for the finance function you will drive the financial strategy of the group as well as take full account for the Group's financial controls, accounting operations and the financial management of the operating companies.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Help drive the business towards it's strategic objectives;
• Ensure that the Group's strategic planning activities are communicated, co-coordinated and implemented on a consistent basis;
•Liaise with senior executives on critical issuesaffecting the on-going business within the operating companies and to work in partnership with local management to support these activities;
• Manage relationships with external advisers;
• Provide critical financial support and risk management on major contract bids;
• Lead contract close-out activities;
Who we're looking for
A qualified finance professional (ACA/ACMA/ACCA) with a recent track-record of having held a senior, central position within a similar scale Group where you will have had direct working contact with main Board directors.
Ideally you will have had experience of working in a similar or closely related contract-led services business where there are thin operating margins that can be improved through tight control/management of process.
We are seeking a very strong team player who is able to communicate easily and has the ability to build long-lasting relationships with co-directors and customers. You should be flexible yet robust, calm under pressure and with a ready sense of humour.
You should be comfortable working with an open and hands-on style and to be effective in a relatively flat senior management structure. You should also beable to work flexibly with joint managing directors who are also family owners of the business.

What's on offer
£80-110,000 base salary plus car/benefits and generous bonus potential.
