You will have your own caseload and will work closely with the partners and other team members. The fee earning work primarily involves:
Providing employer clients with the full range of employment advice, both on day to day issues, and in respect of large projects relating to redundancies, reorganisations and TUPE.
Handling more complex tribunal cases and corporate support work
Our client is looking for a candidate to;
Deliver high level of client service
Give quality technical advice in a commercial context.
Contribute to team's financial budget by achieving personal financial targets and delegate work appropriately.
Provide regular formal (if appropriate) and informal supervision and support to solicitors and trainees.
Maintain and develop client relationships both as requested and on own initiative.
Engage in targeted business acquisition, both as requested and on own initiative (to include obtaining and following up opportunities).
Work on/complete team projects as agreed.
Assist in raising team's profile in business/legal community.
As a member of the team work towards building and maintaining a positive team environment.
Assist the team in meeting its stated goals including both keeping to team procedures and contributing new ideas.
Set example to junior fee earners and rest of team in all activities.

Who we're looking for
Applicants will have:

Strong academics
Time spent with a large regional or City firm.
A flair for giving commercial employment law advice to large employer clients and inspiring client confidence.
An aptitude for building strong relationships with clients.
A track record of business development and supervising junior fee earners.
A desire to work in a team based environment.

Our client is a top Bristol law firm with an impressive and expanding national and European client base. The work of the Employment Team is a core area for the firm. The Team currently consists of 4 Partners, 3 Associates and a professional support lawyer
