District Finance Manager

• Prepare and manage the district financial plans, programmes, budgets, and allocate resources.
• Lead on and advise the District Senior Management Team regarding the budgetary position, recommending appropriate actions as necessary.
• Provide financial advice and support to district staff, partners and other external organisations including the preparation and interpretation of financial appraisals of projects and supplementary funding proposals.
• Report outturn information to HQ Financial Services, including the district data for the closure of the annual accounts.
• Oversee certain exchequer functions as required.
• Develop the link between financial information and performance data and provide statistical analysis.

Who we're looking for
The post holder must hold, or be working towards a CCAB accountancy qualification, or substantial recent experience in a similar multi-functional organisation that is relevant for the particular post.
The post holder must be computer literate.
