The Business Analyst's role is an exciting cross functional position offering exposure to all areas of the company. Not only will you be responsible for many aspects of the monthly and quarterly reporting, you will undertake the analysis and interpretation of all financial areas of the business. Working closely with Senior Management, you will give real opinion into business strategy at an operational level. This role is ideal for a self-starter who is willing to challenge and be challenged. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller you will be involved with financial budgeting, business planning and review and a number of ad hoc projects.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have the enthusiasm and drive to develop within this role and the business. Not only will you need to be motivated, you need to be able to command the respect and attention of Senior Management within the business. As a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) it would be advantageous, but not essential to have business analysis experience within a retail environment and possessing strong technical/accounting skills.

In addition to the above, you will have the following attributes:
• The desire/determination to progress to more senior positions either within the Yorkshire business or the wider plc

• Strong commercial acumen
• Diligence, organisation and professionalism
