Head of Reward

• The role will have accountability for reward and recognition across the UK and ROI Retail Business. This covers over 2,400 stores, employing 60,000 people;
•Primary focus of the role is on developing the reward strategy, covering everyone from the Senior Store Managers to the Operational teams on the shop-floor.
• Currently, the Reward teams are working on a range of integration issues affecting Terms and Conditions. This individual will need to be able to work at pace to understand these issues and contribute to developing an integrated reward structure for the business.
• The job-holder will also need to build a highly engaged, integrated, Reward team with the right capabilities to deliver all of our plans.
• The job-holder will need to work collaboratively with the Group Reward Director.
• The company is seeking a step-change in the way Reward is used to positively impact on performance. This role will be pivotal in ensuring Reward makes a much bigger contribution to our people agenda.
• We want to ensure we maximize the investment we make in Reward and have measures in place to demonstrate our reward plans have been effective;

Who we're looking for
• The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced Reward professional and currently Head of Reward in another organisation;
• Experience of reward in Retail sector and/or large, multi-site employer required;
• Will have a good understanding of job evaluation and grading systems, and an ability to demonstrate Total Reward thinking;
• Needs strong track record in developing and implementing impactful reward and benefits strategies, that are well-communicated and valued at all levels;
• Will need strong commercial awareness and credibility when dealing with our leadership teams;
• Must have focus on delivering results, a positive, "can-do" attitude and an ability to build great relationships across the organisation;
• Displays great technical knowledge and strong leadership skills.
