Main Responsibilities:
This is a front-line HR role, within a growing part of their business, providing employee relations and associated HR services to the South West. In addition, you may be asked to manage HR project-work as part of your role.
• Take an active role in the delivery and assessment of disciplinary, grievance and absence management processes, giving advice as and when necessary to line management.
• Provide an HR advisory service to store and area managers.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge on current and proposed employment legislation, ensuring all managers are communicated to regarding implications to the business.
• Liaise as appropriate with the HR Manager and Employee Relations Manager to ensure a consistent application of policy and procedure.
• Take responsibility for leading and managing various HR projects as required.
Who we're looking for
• Experience of having worked in a Retail organisation previously.
• Thorough knowledge of the practical application of Employee Relations policies and procedures .
• Demonstrable knowledge of Employee Relations policies, procedures and related legislation
• Proven ability to challenge line management view where appropriate
• Proven ability to implement and monitor Human Resource processes across multiple sites
• Proven ability to manage difficult situations and resolve them with confidence
• Experience of managing confidential information, and complex issues with diplomacy
• Experience or knowledge of Redundancies, TUPE, Organisation Design and Recruitment is advantageous
• Experience of working within a project management environment would be desirable, but not essential
• Full and Valid UK drivers licence is essential, as is the ability to travel and work away from home on a regular basis. This role requires considerable travel/working away - please consider this carefully before making an application.
