To provide the interface with UK risk and compliance function in all aspects of the compliance remit including, regulatory change implementation, regulatory risk identification and control and Quality Assurance of the regulatory environment.
Responsibilities
• Reports to the Group Compliance Manager.
• The function is in the UK and covers all the subsidiaries, branches and operations worldwide. Responsibility will be predominately with UK based subsidiaries but with close contact with the management of non-UK subsidiaries.
• Close working relationships with compliance functions and will provide guidance and input to the operations and monitoring of Business Unit compliance functions.
• The job holder may on occasions be required to act as a Group Compliance representative with external audiences and key regulators with the Compliance Manager's approval.
• Responsible for building and maintaining effective relationships with Management in the UK offices and in the international operations.
• The role holder has no budgetary responsibilities.
• The job holder would escalate issues identified to the Group Compliance Manager
Who we're looking for
• Relevant Degree in Risk associated subject and with further qualification i.e. Certificate of Financial Planning/Money laundering.
• Good level of experience within large financial institutions with first class knowledge of principles and rules affecting Insurance and Banking Organisations and experience in assessing regulatory change.
• Good level of experience in designing, building or monitoring systems and controls within a financial organisation.
• Excellent communications skills including interviewing, report writing and oral presentations. Establishing and delivering training programmes or facilitating workshops would be advantageous.
