City

Permanent ⁄ £65000 - £80000

Updated June 18, 2008

The position would appeal to a highly commercial lawyer wishing to develop their legal and commercial skills without the unpredictability of transactional work.

The role involves the development of legal risk management products, including on-line subscription services, and marketing of those products to the derivatives industry.

All necessary training to ensure the successful candidate is fully involved in the business at the earliest opportunity will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Updating the legal content of existing products during the annual update period - this involves reviewing legal opinions from counsel in multiple jurisdictions, analysing those opinions and summarising key issues in reports. The ability to reduce long and complex narratives into concise, accurate, consistent summaries is essential. The update periods can be busy and deadlines are critical.

Marketing existing and new products to potential subscribers involving high profile presentations to senior lawyers, attendance at conferences and following up on marketing initiatives.

Dealing with complex legal content queries raised by existing and prospective subscribers on the products requiring an in-depth knowledge of the products and the legal issues covered.

New product development involving design, legal content production and review, quality control and pre-launch marketing of products.
