Business Controls Specialist

Due to their continued success LINPAC Group is now looking to recruit a Business Controls Specialist. This is a new, key role reporting to the Group Business Controls Manager, but with a dotted line to a Divisional FC, and contact with the rest of the Executive management team throughout LINPAC Group.

Key responsibilities will include:

• To facilitate and assist in embedding the Group's Risk Management Process
• To advise management on control and risk issues affecting their operations
• To work with the Business Controls Manager in meeting the risk based value-added business controls/ internal audit plan as agreed by the Audit Committee
• To complete quality business controls reviews / internal audits which assess and report on the effectiveness and appropriateness of business functions and processes
• To make practical, commercially orientated control recommendations from which management can take necessary action to minimise risk and improve controls and business performance
• Ad hoc projects as they arise.

Who we're looking for
For this high profile position, applicants must be qualified, chartered accountants from a Big 4 or top accountancy firm, seeking fast track career progression within an international organisation. You will have previous experience of auditing a multi-national and multi-discipline organisation and experience of using appropriate risk assurance and internal control/ audit methodologies. You must be prepared to spend up to 50% of your time travelling, including international travel predominantly in Europe, but will have the flexibility to travel worldwide. It would be highly beneficial to speak at least one European foreign language, preferably German / an Eastern European language due to the strategic development of the business in Central and Eastern Europe.

To enjoy the challenges of this role, you will need to have the confidence and interpersonal skills to work closely with senior financial and operational management, and be able to project manage effectively and efficiently. In addition strong influencing and presentation skills and professional credibility will be essential. The position represents an excellent opportunity to join an international group with opportunities to progress to a senior line role.
