Shift Manager

As a Shift Manager reporting directly to the Operations Manager within this fast moving distribution business you will be responsible for driving performance of your team for all aspects of the inbound bookings, picking as well as outbound bookings. Joining this flagship team you will take responsibility for:
• Warehouse Productivity
• On Time in Full despatch from the warehouse
• Stock accuracy based on the RFID system which is used on both stock receipt and stock despatch
• Safety
Within your team of 8-10, you will manage and motivate them to achieve and exceed their targets to ensure the continued growth of the business. You will drive their performance by giving them a clear view of their expected goals and achievements on a daily basis and then mentor and coach them to achieve their objectives.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be a proven man-manager either in or out of a working environment. You must have a demonstrable track record of coaching a team of people to achieve a goal or reach a target. You could bring these skills from any environment i.e: your personal life, manufacturing, production, supply chain, warehouse or logistics but as the shift manager you must be able to motivate, inspire and drive your team to attain their achievable targets.
To succeed in the business you must have the ability to manage in a fast-moving organisation and the personality or character to identify opportunities in a sometimes challenging environment.
