Carrying out the role of audit senior on limited company accounts, turnover up to £75M, to include:
Drafting of planning memorandum and involvement in planning meetings.
Responsibility for the completion of fieldwork at client's premises and supervision of junior staff
Completion of the audit to include preparation of statutory accounts for review by manager/partner.
Preparation of report to partners for client clearance meetings. (The candidate may sometimes be required to attend these meetings).
Responsibility to ensure all audits are completed within the allocated budget.
Assisting in the development of junior staff.
Who we're looking for
Final stage or qualified ACA or ACCA
Minimum 2-3 years experience of working in a similar role, or currently, within a professional medium size practice environment.
Key skills and competencies: Ability to ensure accurate and timely reporting under often tight deadlines.
Good organisational skills.
Team player, with some previous supervisory experience.
Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels and to motivate those for whom he/she has supervisory responsibilities, in order to ensure that objectives are met.
Ability to communicate with and understand the differing aspect of the needs of clients and their staff.
Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Access).
Experience of Viztopia or similar accounting packages.
