A great opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager to join a rapidly expanding organisation based in Milton Keynes, assisting them to further enhance the excellent mechanical and engineering service provided to their Multi National Blue Chip Retail Partner.
Key responsibilities will include;
• Ensuring the most effective work plans are developed and implemented to achieve the service availability of a specific range of assets.
• Monitor a specific range of assets for availability and continuously improve work plans to deliver.
• Ensure all work plans meet statutory and business critical obligations for a specific range of assets and audit compliance.
• Forecast resource requirement against skills needed to meet technical planned work.
• Ensure all relevant equipment has a PPM routine.
• Forecast planned work budgets for a specific range of assets.
• Generate reports on asset performance on specific range of assets against SLA's.
• Identify design problems and work with the Centre of Excellence to develop alternative designs.
• Recommend the asset replacement plan based upon knowledge of asset history for a specific range of assets.
• Recommend parts needed to meet the needs of the business and support the delivery of SLA's.
• Contribute to the development of processes, simplify work flows and gain efficiencies across the business.
• Continuously develop awareness and knowledge regarding legislative changes for specific assets and amend plans to reflect these.
• Problem Solving - (the types of problems that need to be solved):
• Review equipment performance against SLA's for specific range of assets.
• Analyse data and root cause re-occurring issues for a specific range of assets and recommend solution to relevant team.
• Drive continuous improvement in performance through embedding sustainable solutions as part of the maintenance strategy.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate should posses:
• Mechanical or electrical engineering background.
• A proven background as a maintenance manager.
•Knowledge of maintenance systems with the retail sector.
• Have a working knowledge of air conditioning or refrigeration or heating and ventilation.
• An excellent motivator and communicator.
• Be able to coach and support teams/individuals to deliver and sustain results.

What's on offer
