The Operational Risk Manager will be based in the beautiful tax haven of Jersey. Overview
•Operations Risk Assuranceis a team which resides under the COO function. Its role is to provide operational assurance primarily through the identification and mitigation of risk on the all the operating platforms across Wealth Operations by using an excellent working knowledge of risk combined with in depth knowledge of operational processes.
• The role holder will be part of the Wealth Operations Jersey Operational Assurance team and will be responsible for providing such assurance specialising in Fiduciary Operations. The role holder will also have many other assurance responsibilities related to audit and compliance activities and findings as well as the review of user access controls, reconciliations, new products and the impact of change projects.
There are two roles available, one with a Fiduciary Services influence and one with an MI bias. The role will include the following broad tasks
• Audit Management
• Process and Control assurance through Snap Check Testing Programme.
• Risk Event Management
• User Access Control
• Product Sign-Offs
• Business Change Agenda (including mandatory and regulatory programmes)
• Operational Control Reviews/Improvements
• Risk Advice & Support
Who we're looking for
Applications are invited from individuals with financial services experience, ideally gained within Operations. You will need to understand risk, be able to analyse and review risk, and then be able to identify and implement solutions to minimise risk levels. You will need a good academic background and excellent interpersonal skills as well asthe desire to relocate tothe Channel Islands.
