The role of the Buyer - Interim is to negotiate with suppliers to source best in market Promotions for Independent customers, and achieve stretching margin and income targets.

Who we're looking for
• You will be available immediately and able to work initially on an Interim basis.
• A proven track record in FMCG Buying or Category Management gained from working for a large wholesale / retail business
•A track record of negotiating with large brand owners
• Working knowledge of Health & Beauty category suppliers
• Commercial acumen to recognise sales, margin and ranging issues and opportunities
• Previous knowledge of promotions management and product category plans
• Understanding of Price, KVI's and Margin Management
• Ability to develop long term relationships
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and work to deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate and present at all levels internally and externally
• Have strong numerical and analytical skills to recognise performance indicators and present findings with action recommendations.
