You will help to support the NPP Procurement Manager in determining the organisational design and strategic objectives going forward, whilst ensuring operational Procurement support, and will be responsible for:
• working with the business to deliver agreed benefits including cost reduction and cash flow targets for their category areas.
• influencing sourcing strategy in the category to support the business and NPP mandate.
• delivering local sourcing needs in conjunction with or through the business area.
• managing and developing the business interface between Procurement and the business area
• promoting the NPP plan, and developing client skills and network to support its delivery
• supporting the development of the various business units collaborative Procurement initiatives.
• managing the development of the supply base with the respective business area, supporting the vision of the business being the 'customer of choice'.
Who we're looking for
You will have sound Indirect Category experience and ideally have been involved with HR Procurement.
• Qualified or working towards MCIPS.
• Knowledge of category specific industries, supply markets and related laws, including TUPE, employment law.
• Breadth and depth of procurement cycle activities. To include development of spend category plans, RFx, contract and commercial negotiation, developing appropriate SLA/KPI's documentation and trackers (to include delivered benefits).
• Proven track record in the delivery of business goals, including service improvement, cost reduction and increased business profit, involving working alongside specialist and technical functions such as Legal, Health, Safety and Environmental.
• Effective at building and maintaining productive relationships across the organisation, at all levels.
• Well-developed communication and influencing skills, with a demonstrable capability to challenge others.
• Excellent analytical skills. Able to grasp complex commercial and technical aspects of third party contracts and negotiations.
• Well-developed commercial skills. High level of commercial acumen. Sound knowledge of contract law related to procurement activities.
• Ability to link sourcing solutions to business need.
• Able to deal effectively with ambiguity. Proactive in taking ownership for responsibilities and driving timely resolution of problems.
