Head of Case-working & Applications Policy

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a head of case-working and applications policy. As the suitable candidate you will:
• Motivate and manage staff and provide an excellent leadership role model.
• Develop and continually review an appropriate set of KPIs appropriate for your Unit.
• Set performance and improvement targets and manage the availability of data relating to those targets, interpreting Management Information and identifying areas for improvement to the Director.
• Develop strategic policy documents and lead on research topics
• Be fully accountable for the effective delivery of the team's performance in quantitative, qualitative and resource management terms to meet or exceed targets and ensure delivery of a consistent customer service.
• Management and sponsorship of business critical projects.
• Drive and implement organisational change to ensure continuous improvement of people and processes and the service provided to our customers.
• Create and encourage an environment of accountability and empowerment of staff at all levels within the business using best practice management tools.
• Build relationships and liaise effectively with staff and internal and external stakeholders.

• Highly effective people management skills.
• Highly developed interpersonal, communication, influencing and people management skills
• A resilient, flexible and adaptable leader and champion of change
• Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills
• Able to make decisions at operational and strategic level.
• Policy development experience
Experience<BR>• Proven experience of successful operational management at departmental level, managing staff in a fast high transaction customer service environment over a sustained period of time.
• A confirmed track record of leading teams that have consistently achieved targets and performance standards or of leading under performing teams to improve significantly.
• Experience of effective performance management.
