Our client's team has extensive experience in advising on a wide variety of asset and structured finance projects including the procurement, financing and leasing of aircraft, ships, heavy and light rolling stock, rail infrastructure, film productions and tax-based leasing.They work on a variety of structures and products, including operating leases, finance leases, leveraged leases, Islamic finance and residual value arrangements.They also have extensive experience of structured financing and tax-based transactions.Their client base includes banks and arrangers, major airlines, ship owners and operators, train operating companies and lessons and manufacturers of a variety of assets.

This work invariably involves a cross-border element, and they regularly work with colleagues in the UK and internationally. In the last two years the team has worked on transactions with a combined value in excess of US$10bn.

Who we're looking for
The team is now seeking to recruit a NQ lawyer for an Asset Finance role. Candidates will have gained strong academics and good quality training from a recognised finance practice, ideally having done a seat in asset finance or at the least, general finance together with the ability to demonstrate a genuine interest in the asset finance arena.They will be interested to hear from candidates who show a willingness to take on early responsibility and get involved with the marketing and business development activities of the team.

About our client
Based in London, the asset finance team comprises three partners and seven assistants and has an excellent reputation in the market - credited with handling "a number of big-ticket transactions" (UK Legal 500, 2005), Chambers UK, 2006 comments that "clients appreciate the team's ability to view asset finance from both operator and financier perspectives".
