Product Design Engineer

Working within one of the business streams or the R&D department the primary function of the role is to provide support to manufacturing units to ensure the product conforms to specification and works in a safe and correct manner. It will be the responsibility of the design engineer to continually improve the product in functionality, profitability, and provide technical support to internal and external customers.

Who we're looking for
You will be able demonstrate a good all-round general engineering knowledge gained within a manufacturing environment. An understanding of basic electrical / electronic principles and a strong mechanical knowledge is paramount , ideally from a product development production engineering back ground. You must be logical in approach and a clear communicator willing to be operationally hands-on. A Knowledge of CAD systems and an understanding of technical drawings is essential.
