This is a pure PLANNING role. You will be responsible for all sales, profit, stock turn over, aged stock and will work closely with the buying team. You will be analytical and able to work on your own initiative. This is a highly analytical role that means that you will have a proven track record in Merchandising Planning. This is not a role where you leave all the decisions to the buyers - YOU are the decision maker.
I am therefore seeking an experienced and ambitious Merchandise Planner to join the Buying and Merchandise Team based in the CBD.
Experience in Merchandise Planning is key and while knowledge of Accessories and/or Fashion categories would be an advantage, it is not essential.

Who we're looking for
You will currently be a Planner. This is a pre-requisite for this vacancy. You will be interviewed based on your planning experience and achievements. You will be used to high level financial and detailed analysis. Your decisions will have a direct impact on the business - and you will be judged on your return on investment.
The successful candidate will have excellent planning, analysis and inventory management skills, be well organized, and have a strong customer focus. This should ideally be coupled with a proven competency in merchandise systems and their exploitation. The above will need to have been gained in a multi store business.
