An opportunity has arisen to join our tax team as the Business Tax Consultant dealing with a wide range of business tax related issues including transactions carried out by our Corporate Finance Team and other technical queries raised by the team and clients.
• To assist in specific one-off tasks on a consultancy basis as required and to manage the corporation tax for a small portfolio of clients.
• To act as an ambassador for the firm, to build up contacts and develop new business opportunities.
• To liaise with clients on all aspects of corporation tax and to be the main point of contact for any ad hoc queries.
The successful candidate will report directly to Partner level and as such will have significant experience of business tax issues and be commercially astute. You should be confident working with all levels with the ability to build relationships quickly. Your communication skills will be second to none and you should be able to demonstrate that you are confident explaining tax issues verbally and in writing.
Who we're looking for
Successful candidates for the Personal Tax Manager role in their Guildford Office must be:
•Qualified ATT or CTA. Qualified by experience will be considered.
• Must have personal tax knowledge and be technically competent.
• Must have strong IT Skills,knowledge of Excel helpful.
• Excellent personal skills are essential together with the ability to form strong client relationships.
• Must have a flexible and proactive approach to work
• Good communication skills are essential
• Must be able to prioritise workload and be an effective time manager.
