Based in Leeds, you will need to be able to demonstrate a successful track record of managing and delivering bids to tight deadlines through both single and two stage procurement routes in the social housing market. You will be responsible for the management of tender bids and pre-contract activities. Previous experience of the affordable housing market in both refurbishment and new build, in particular current design standards, legislation and sustainability requirements is required.
Who we're looking for
The successful Bid Manager will need to demonstrate the following:
• A thorough understanding of projects, scope of works and restrictions imposed by contractual requirements and site conditions.
• Managing a team of 7 and co-ordinating tenders.
• Good communicator and be able to work as part of a team.
• PC skills to an advanced level.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and use own initiative.
• A broad knowledge of construction methods is essential.
