Group Accountant

This role would report into the group financial reporting accountant and key deliverables include:
• Support in preparing the group's monthly consolidated financial statements for the banks
• Support in preparing the group's consolidated statutory accounts
• Support in preparing the group's quarterly report to bond holders
• Assisting in the preparation of the group's annual report
• Accounting for various group holding companies
• Preparation of various UK statutory accounts for group holding companies
• Involvement in forecast and budget preparation
• Various ad-hoc analysis and projects
• Supporting the group's businesses in their group reporting to meet objectives and deadlines
• Maintenance of the group's consolidation system (Hyperion)
• Ad hoc projects

Who we're looking for
The successful individual will be a qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) educated to degree level, either working in the profession and looking for a first time move into industry or already working in industry in a related position. You will also need to be able to demonstrate:
• Strong technical skills (UK GAAP) and an eye for detail
• Analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills essential
• Flexibility
• Self motivation and an eagerness to drive improvements
• Ability to plan and organise time effectively and meet deadlines
• Strong Excel skills
• Previous experience of working with Hyperion useful, but not essential
• Foreign language skills useful, but not essential
