?X Handling own caseload, encompassing the full range of the team's work (with appropriate level of supervision)
?X Advising on the formulation, implementation and defence of policies
?X Advising public bodies on their relationships with the private sector including the drafting of contracts
?X Litigation involving public law issues
?X Raising charges for professional regulatory or disciplinary bodies and acting as legal assessor to professional conduct committees
?X Drafting constitutional documents
?X Advising internal appeal panels
?X Statutory interpretation and some statute drafting
?X Advising and defending actions in relation to discrimination issues
?X FOIA and DPA advice
?X Playing an appropriate role in marketing activity

Who we're looking for
?X This individual may be with another firm handling public law work, but equally maybe a barrister or someone who is working in the public sector as a Treasury Solicitor or in a local authority.
?X Strong academic background
?X Willing to take responsibility and ownership of client work.
?X Able to formulate and present sound, coherent advice, both orally and in writing (must have excellent writing skills).
?X Able to think outside the box in order to add value (clients often have extensive knowledge of their own areas, so need to be able to enhance this).

The Public Law team is one of the largest and most respected in the UK. Clients include central and local government, non-departmental public bodies, statutory & chartered bodies and regulators.The teamare also called upon to advise the regulated.

What's on offer
£53,000 to £75,000 dependant on experience.
