The purpose of this role is to act as point of contact with the overseas tax group, assisting local financial controllers in achieving local tax compliance, properly implementing US GAAP across the group, and to support tax operations in the UK.

Essential functions:

Responsible for overseeing the Income, VAT and other tax compliance matters. Some Income Tax return preparation will be required.
Monitor and assist local tax and finance teams with audit issues and manage UK. Tax audits
Assist local tax and finance teams on VAT and tax accounting issues including balance sheet analysis and review of local deferred tax assets.
Assess opportunities to further streamline and automate the provision and reconciliation process.
Provide support to U.S. tax with dividend repatriation issues, accounting for Uncertain Tax Positions (FIN 48), and U.S. tax reporting including preparation of Form 5471.
Monitor International Legislative developments.
Support the U.S Tax Group on local tax requirements with respect to executive compensation plans and expatriate employees.

Who we're looking for
As well as having the required technical abilities, you will be CTA qualified and from a Big 4 or similar commerce background. You must be able to demonstrate a level of progression and success in your career to date, and be a team player wanting to work in a stimulating and collaborative environment.
