Our client is a specialist supply chain consultancy working with a large number of Blue Chip companies both in the UK and abroad. Historically, the main focus of their work is around Warehousing and Distribution, but their services do extend into other areas such as Procurement, Planning, Forecasting etc.
Typically, a Supply Chain Consultant will work on projects lasting between 2 weeks and 12 months, with the aim of improving clients' supply chain processes, reducing cost, improving efficiency and increasing productivity.
They are based near Reading and are looking for candidates based in (or who are willing to relocated to) London, Surrey and the M4 Corridor.

Who we're looking for
A Supply Chain Consultant can come from a large number of backgrounds, and will possess a number of the following qualities:

• Educated to degree level, with a relevant professional qualification.
• Post graduate qualification desirable.
• Experience in operational management, business development, materials handling applications or consultancy. 3PL, warehousing and distribution experience is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills. Familiarisation with database analysis techniques and modelling tools (such as CAST and PARAGON)would be an advantage.
• Well developed interpersonal skills, able to put people at ease, and confident in dealing with people at all levels in a client's organisation.
• Ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team. All our consultants will be expected to project manage assignments from time to time.
