This role is key to CIBA VISION's future strategy and is tasked to increase contact lens penetration through the development of category initiatives with leading customers. This will be achieved by utilising brand levers as appropriate and bringing modern category management techniques to this newly created role.
The successful candidate will act as the champion for utilising category management strategies to improve market share, and drive volume through major distribution points as well as developing robust category insights, initiatives and solutions across specified trade channels and customers. The role is key to enabling the national accounts team to increase sales volumes, drive overall performance, whilst also delivering and using the insight to help mould the brand plans and strategies. The role also includes category management aspects such as:
• Delivery of customer facing quarterly category reviews
• Insight driven presentations given to key accounts
• Working with Marketing and Professional teams to ensure a clear category rationale drives all activity
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will ideally have the following:
• Research/category management experience
• Thorough and practical knowledge of category management best practice
• Track record of developing successful category management strategies at the store level
• Experience in management 3rd party agencies
• Experience in interpreting data and driving value adding insights
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into category recommendations
• Proven ability to lead, manage and influence people cross-functionally
• Good understanding of OTC and/or FMCG environment
• Mental agility and the ability to translate complex information into simple, actionable recommendations.
