This exciting role heads up the 3-strong Merchant Services marketing team for the UK, with the scope to define and deliver the marketing strategy for the B2B business in the UK to grow the share of the eCommerce market using your £2m marketing budget.
You will do this by defining the longer term B2B marketing strategy and developing and executing quarterly marketing plans. You will have the opportunity to work in conjunction with global teams to develop actionable strategic initiatives and share best practice,as well as directing the team to deliver creative through the line acquisition marketing campaigns with proven return on investment. This includes press, online, email, direct mail and search. On top of this you will also lever channel partners (including internal partners) to deliver marketing initiatives that drive incremental revenues and develop initiatives that drive greater share of checkout of existing retailers.
You will support the direct sales team to build awareness and drive conversion with attendance at key events, building testimonials, creating collateral and defining key messages, thereby building the brand as a credible B2B brand for all target segments. To do this most effectively, you will also work with PR colleagues to ensure consistent messaging
Focusing on managing the communication and promotion of PayPal's B2B products, you will be responsible for the continual enhancement of the B2B website, messaging and on boarding experience to drive improvements in acquisition and activation rates, as well as liaising with the telesales teams to ensure clarity of understanding and key selling points of their products
Who we're looking for
We are looking for a good team player with a collaborative approach who has strong people and communication skills, both written and verbal. You will need to have experience of working across multi-disciplinary teams, and have high energy and enthusiasm with evidence of being a self-starter. You will have proven analytical ability and be results orientated, being able to demonstrate a track record of delivering results - on time.
1. Experience required:
• Proven experience of creating strategic B2B marketing plans and executing tactical B2B through the line campaigns with robust ROI
• Extensive online marketing experience, with working knowledge of search, display and email marketing
• Exceptional people management skills
• Strong project management skills with experience with work prioritisation, planning, influencing and working in cross-functional teams
• Financial services background and channel marketing experience are bonuses, but not essential
• You will also have a good academic background, with a good degree.
