Legal Adviser

OUP now requires an exceptional non-contentious IP/commercial lawyer to join its well respected legal department, reporting directly to the Group Legal Director.
Main areas of responsibility will include:
• Drafting a wide range of commercial agreements relating to print and online publishing, online product licensing, website and other software development, rights licensing and e-commerce
• Providing day-to-day legal advice on a wide range of issues to clients of all levels in the organisation.

This is a stimulating, dynamic role, with a high degree of autonomy and early responsibility for the right candidate.

Who we're looking for
You will need to be a UK qualified solicitor with relevant post-qualification experience gained in a law firm and/or in-house, a commercial business focus with excellent drafting and interpersonal skills. Strong academic credentials and a working knowledge of copyright law are essential, and previous experience of publishing is desirable.
