Web Developer

Key responsibilities include -
• To support, maintain and develop the existing websites, web services, content management system and SQL databases to ensure they meet user requirements
• To support the Web Technical Manager in working with the Siebel developers to maintain effective communication between systems
• To create scripts, programmes and resolve issues with current systems
• To create .Net templates as requested by the Authoring team
• To manage databases and websites to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
• To rework functionality of existing systems, websites and infrastructure to optimise efficiency
• To maintain excellent coding practices and keep up to date with current technologies
• To align work with others in the team to ensure a cohesive and consistent customer service ethos, in line with organisational strategy
• To provide outstanding customer service responding quickly and helpfully and take ownership for resolving queries satisfactorily

This role represents the opportunity to workin a highly-desirable location as part of an excellent team. 6 months initially, with the option to extend.

Who we're looking for
• A demonstrable track record of building and managing websites or web applications, including a significant amount of time working on medium to large scale websites intended for mass consumption by members of the general public
• Willing to undertake a CRB check (undertaken in-house)
• ASP.NET (C#) 1.1 - exposure to 2.0 advantageous
• ADO.NET
• XML Web Services
• XSLT
• Visual Studio 6.0
• IIS 6.0
• SQL Server 7.0
• Extended Stored Procedures
• HTML & DHTML
• JavaScript & CSS
