Reporting into the Business Planning Manager, this role is to provide Analysis and Insight to assist and influence the commercial process. You will be providing the business with objective overviews to Customer Plans and in-depth Promotional Analysis at a brand and customer level.
Your main objectives will to affect strategic decision making with meaningful and insightful analysis of market and sales data. You will add value to the decision making process by supporting the sales and marketing teams, as well as leading commercial decisions with the Business Planning Manager.
Key parts of your role will be:
• Reporting of sales movements and management of promotional calendar
• Developing and managing tools to manage promotional effectiveness and distribution levels
• Monthly presentation of Promotion findings and making recommendations on future activity
You will play an active role in the support of Customer focused planning, providing Analysis and recommendations to the business. In order to do this you will develop close working relationships with the UK Account Managers, Financial PlanningManagers and Channel Managers.
Who we're looking for
You will be an analyst with the ability to work under their own initiative and to tight deadlines within a commercial environment. You will have a good understanding of Business Analysis with and understanding of Financial Planning and Analysis preferable. You will have the ability to present the results to key stakeholders both internally and externally.
Your key skills will be:
• Utilise complex data and information sources for analysis, interpretation and recommendations
• Apply market research techniques and data analysis skills to solve complex business problems
• Understand consumer, customer and competitive dynamics and initiate analysis projects to uncover business drivers
• The ability to work to tight deadlines and within budget
• Comfortable dealing with Brand and Commercial teams in sales and marketing.
Key to your success in this role will be your ability to derive meaningful insights and present them to managers within the company. You will need to be comfortable doing this and confident in your analysis skills.
