Senior Cost Planner

You will be strategically responsible for the financial delivery of the proposal whether it be a bid or negotiation. Working in a team environments you will be responsible for demonstrating the robustness of the costs to allow senior managers to make commercial decisions at finalisation meetings. You will be responsible for technical input in pricing/validating cost plans and prelims before presenting to senior management prior to clients/PQS presentations. You will have responsibility for managing surveyors, junior cost planners, M&E cost planners, commercial management support with respect to market testing, project managers/planners with respect to methodology, logistics and programme information for pricing. You will take partial ownership of the risk evaluation process and be personally responsible for direct discussions/negotiations with the client and their cost consultant over commercial aspects/details of the overall cost plan.
Who we're looking for
Ideally from an estimating or cost planning background, this is the ideal opportunity to take your career further. You will currently be working for a medium to large main contractor or PQS firm where you have been involved in the estimating and cost planning process on medium to large projects. You will have gained the knowledge and intuition to take your estimating knowledge to the cost planning level or be at the point where your experience will facilitate this.
