Based in Crewe, BAE Systems manufacture ammunitions predominantly for the Ministry of Defence. Due to a recent restructure, they are looking to recruit a high calibre Health, Safety and Environment Manager.
Reporting to the General Manager you will provide advice to the Operation to ensure that all Explosives Hazards are adequately controlled.
You will develop the Site's Safety Management System to ensure that explosives operations comply with appropriate legislation. You will also provide a comprehensive audit/inspection service to monitor the site's Safety Management Systems which control risks associated with manufacturing with storing explosives and explosives filled articles.
Who we're looking for
Degree qualified, ideally within Chemical or Process Engineering, you will have a NEBOSH certificate and will have ideally worked within a CoMAH facility. You will be experienced in change management and will have excellent interpersonal skills. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone looking for development within a leading organisation.
