Corporate Recovery Lawyer

Private Practice

Reading

Permanent ⁄ £40000 - £55000

Updated August 28, 2008

This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer to join a Reading based corporate recovery department that is one of the most highly rated in the UK for the level and range of insolvency work they undertake.

The Corporate Recovery group has achieved a pre-eminent position as one of the leading insolvency and turnaround specialists in the South East. It acts across the spectrum of corporate recovery and pure insolvency with a particular focus on assisting and supporting insolvency practitioners, banks, and asset based lenders. They also have a strong working relationship with HM Revenue & Customs.

This insolvency practice covers both contentious and non-contentious matters.

Who we're looking for
Our client is looking for a lawyer to join this very busy and successful team. The appropriate candidate will:
• be required to work on a range of corporate recovery matters, primarily for insolvency practitioners, having gained recent experience of corporate recovery matters in a well regarded city or regional practice.
• be an assistant lawyer who works with some supervision in their current role or alternatively a newly qualified solicitor who wishes to specialise in corporate recovery work.
• ideally have experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters (both corporate and personal) together with advocacy experience.

About our client
Our client is a leading commercial law firm based in Reading, in the heart of the Thames Valley, with clients ranging from high growth start-ups to multinationals and household names.

Previously voted as the best UK regional law firm to work for in its class by the Sunday Times, they are one of the most vibrant and outstanding regional heavyweight firms. There are few UK full service law firms that can match the level and quality of service that they provide.

Our client is rated highly by both the Legal 500 and The Chambers & Partners Directory and over two thirds of their Partners are ranked as leaders in their field.

What's on offer
Excellent salary and benefits package.
