Manufacturing/Safety Engineer

Reporting directly to either a Manufacturing Manager or the Site Safety Manager your responsibility will be to provideadditional Manufacturing Engineering support in either a direct production support role or a safety role.

• To develop, establish and maintain efficient manufacturing processes and facilities to meet production programme requirements taking into consideration factors such as safety, logistics, process flow, inventory and lead times
• Provide support to the Cell Leader to ensure that Effectively and Safety targets are met for the production areas..
• The provision and control of parts of a safe system of work, for example Manufacturing Instructions, Risk assessments, Plant, tools and Gauges in line with company and statutory requirements.
• Input to the design process in order to drive design for manufacture and assembly.
• The review of process quality data using appropriate statistical techniques and the identification and embodiment of continuous improvement activities.
• To collect data and assist in production readiness activities to ensure that the processes are robust and deliver a timely, cost effective and compliant product.
Resolve outstanding Safety Improvement actions.

Who we're looking for
The right candidate will be from a production environment and have good technical / engineering experience. You will have:

• Minimum of either a City and Guild Certificate in Engineering or an HNC in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.

• A NEBOSH certificate is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
